Great Idea for a Sketch
With that new Fox News comedy show being developed, I'm sure there are some great comedic minds working to make it the best Daily Show rip-off ever. But I've got an idea for a hilarious sketch.
The sketch opens with George Bush making an address to a large crowd. Then he starts looking for WMDs all over the stage -- under the podium, in the wings, in the first row of the audience. Hilarious! He just keeps looking and looking and can't find 'em!
And then he finds 'em under a pile of 3,000 dead US servicemen.
I think it would be awesome but I have a feeling that it's already been done. I seem to remember this being pitched to someone else, like the American people or something.

Well, anonymous commenter, I guess that proves me wrong. Can you tell me, though, which of the charges Colin Powell read in the UN, that the USA used as a pretext for war, actually were found to be true? Mobile weapons labs, acquisition of fissile material, active manufacture of chemical weapons, active nuclear weapons program?
No, you can't. All of the assertions made by Powell were false.
And maybe, if you looked up from Fox "News" once or twice, you'd have heard something like this from Charles Duelfer, CIA weapons inspector (and noted leftard):
"The weapons are all pre- Gulf War vintage shells, no longer effective weapons. Not evidence of an ongoing WMD program under Saddam Hussein."
But you won't know that, not because you lack the ability to read, but you lack the intelligence to pursue knowledge that doesn't confirm your established worldview.
I guess you're right that I didn't follow the intellectual herd as I grew up. But you neglect to recognize your own third choice: not to grow up at all.
Come back any time.
Let's take a look see:
1) Ignored the ceasefire he signed--an absolute act of war.
2) Ignored 16 or 17 Chapter VII UN resolutions--not necessarily an act of war since the UN is an international criminal organization...but still looks bad.
3) Harbored Al Qaeda and an assortment of other terrorists.
4) Constantly shot at US and UK airplanes--breaking the ceasefire he signed - another act of war.
5) Openly boasted about funding international terrorism--even sending $25,000 checks to displaced Arab (the MSM calls them "Palestinians") for blowing up Jews AND Americans in Israel.
6) Attempted to assassinate an American president--a definite act of war, except the Adulter-in-Chief did little but lob a few bombs at Baghdad. After all, the president was only a conservative.
7) Over 500 WMD found in Iraq since 2003--although moonbats insist that they were "old and degraded and that the ceasefire and UN resolutions allowed this"
And they wonder why many call liberalism a mental disorder...
Next!
The USA invaded Iraq for these stated reasons:
1. Their weapons program was an imminent threat to the USA
2. They harboured and worked with Al Qaeda
Colin Powell attempted to make the case for these "facts" in the UN. Bush stated them in his state of the union address.
They were both false.
If you'd like to provide a single iota of evidence for either of the USA's reasons for invading Iraq, then by all means do so. However, a google search whose first result is a Fox "News" report doesn't exactly cut the mustard.
But if you'd rather live in your world of self-important ignorance, by all means go ahead. I imagine that by the time you hit Submit, your erection is just huge.
